When do I need a wastewater report?

You will need a wastewater design and report if you are building a new home or structure. If you decide to renovate, extend or add a dwelling to a property, you will need a wastewater report.

If you are upgrading or replacing an existing sewerage treatment system to ensure it complies with current standards, a wastewater report will be necessary.

If you are considering a commercial or residential subdivision project, property purchase or lodging a development approval, you will require an on - site effluent disposal appraisal.

What is the wastewater report process?

After initial consultation and discovery with our client, we conduct a desk top study that reveals any site constraints that may not be evident from visual inspections, followed by a detailed site inspection and assessment. A preliminary draft stamped design is presented to clients for consideration and feedback.

After the preliminary design has been accepted, Arcadia Environmental allows one (1) post-acceptance edit for free. Any additional changes, an amendment fee may apply for the wastewater report. This will be communicated in writing.

The final design and complete wastewater report is a detailed document that identifies the most suitable, compliant wastewater disposal option for your application, and one that benefits the environment. The final design and full wastewater report is then provided to our client for submission to council.

When do I pay for the wastewater report?

Once Arcadia Environmental Pty Ltd has been engaged verbally or in writing to proceed with the wastewater design and report service, work begins. On completion, an invoice is issued. Upon invoice payment confirmation, the final design and complete wastewater report is issued to clients.

What information do you need?

Arcadia Environmental will require the site address (lot and plan number), floor plans, site or development plans, landscape plans and livestock plans or needs.

Future infrastructure or development ideas are helpful. For example: "We are keen to add a pool or car port at a later date." The more information you provide, the more accurate and successful your wastewater design and report.

Do you do installations?

Arcadia Environmental is a specialist environmental wastewater design consultancy. We do not offer installation services. However, we can arrange quotes from experienced installation companies.

Do you lodge applications to council?

Arcadia Environmental can provide forms you will require for your application to council, if the information to facilitate this is made available. Arcadia Environmental do not lodge the applications with council (fees apply).
